How am I actually going to secure this print on the wall so it never falls down?

What kind of picture hook, screw or nail should I use?





This artwork is a large piece, how many hooks will I need? will one be enough and if the hook is the right weight, how long will that last?





How do I ensure that these 3 photos of my kids are hung at the same level? How do I stop them going on a slant?

Absolutely, the questions as to how to hang art the best just goes on. These questions come to us all the time. And even more, like:

What is the best height to hang these at? Is there a correct height?





Should I just hit a nail in the wall then put up the picture to see if its right? What do I do if I messed it up and got the wrong spot or if the nail falls out or I change my furniture around then need to move the picture again?





How can I ensure that it all works with my house?



This may all seem like easy things to manage when thinking of them objectively. You may feel a bit like a fool thinking all of these worrying thoughts, but believe me: they are important subjectively to deal with.

Problem #1: How to hang a painting without damaging your wall, the picture, or its frame?

The hanging system consists of a rail that is clicked on to smallrectangle plastic connectors that are drilled into the higher part of your wall with a screw and wall plug. This ensures that no matter what surface, it will be stable.



Hanging down from the rail, otherwise known as a rod or a track, is a clear perlon wire with hooks that are movableup and down them. These perlon wires are like a fishing line and can come in transparent clear (which is our favourite), or you can chose to have a silver wire and show it off. The hooks move up and down the wire easily, which means you can hang your prints at any height. The wire willalso slide along the rod so that you are able to hang up your painting, artwork or photo anywhere along the wall and put multiple pictures on each wire. How easy is that!

Problem #2: How to work out how many hooks your photo, print, painting, or wall sculpture will need.

It’s easiest to use two hooks per picture or artwork.

That will ensure that your piece is balanced and wont move over time. If your print has d-hooks on the back, attach the hooks that are attached to your perlon wire onto each d-hook. It’s more effective than attaching it to the string at the back of an artwork as this can then move around and it balances much better.

Problem # 3: How do I make sure the pictures are hanging at the right level?

Forpiecesof the same size it really works to have them hang at the same height. Here the experts answer ablsolutely is: “Throw away your nails and install a hanging system.”

With your own picture hanging system you can easily move the hooks along the perlon wire up and down so that you can make all pictures hang at the same level. It’s very easy to slide the perlon wire to the left or the right so that there is the samedistance between each painting or document that your hanging. Problem # 4: Is there a proper height that I should hang the paintings, documents, prints or photos at?

Having the wall be too crowded can actually take away from the wall and make it worse than having nothing at all, but you also don"t want it be incomplete or uneven. Again, try some different arrangements.
